Welcome to Tyne Triathlon Club.

Tyne Tri is one of the oldest and largest clubs in the Northern Region of the British Triathlon Association. The club was the brainchild of Ian Webster (one of our honorary members) and was founded at a meeting of about ten people in the Western Public House, Jarrow on 15th August 1984. Membership has grown somewhat since then and, in most years, peaks at about ninety.

There are several coached sessions organised for club members. Additionally, within the membership there are a number of people with BTA coaching qualifications who would also be pleased to help with advice, please speak to the Club Secretary.

The club organises a number of quality events. The North of the Tyne Triathlon takes place in September. The Children’s Triathlon is held early in July and is based at Benfield School in Newcastle. More information can be found on the Northern Region web site.
