The Tyne Aquathlon at Newbiggin Bay on June 28th 14:00 - Race Information
Registration
This will be at the Sailing Club from 13:00 to 13:30 and race briefing will be 13:45 and the race start will be at 14:00.
Attending the race briefing is mandatory and will include any changes to the swim due to any adverse weather conditions,
under the supervision of the RNLI and Blyth Lifeguards, who both have kindly offered their support.
You are strongly recommended to familiarise yourself with the race instructions and route.

All competitors will receive a goody bag that contains a More Mile T-shirt, Red Bull pack and a race number for the run.
The Venue - Newbiggin-by-the-sea
The Sailing club have kindly offered the use of the club house for changing facilities and showers as well as a full range of refreshments all day.
There is ample free parking for all competitors (please see map).
The race takes place in a beautiful bay protected by the breakwater and is an ideal setting for triathlon & aquathlons.
The Swim
The swim takes place in the bay. The wearing of wetsuits is compulsory as the average water temperature is 15 degrees centigrade.
Full safety cover is provided by RNLI and Blyth Lifeguards.
Please ensure that you call your race number out and place numbered swim hats found in your goody bag into the box for safety purposes - marshalls will count swimmers in and out of the water.
Hats will be available for collection in transition after the event.
There will be a water pool into transition to wash feet as you run through.
The Run
The run is 3 lap course along the promenade, providing a spectator friendly run course.
Please ensure you call your race number out at the westerly turn point.
Race numbers are provided and must be worn on the front. Race number belts are allowed.
Please be aware of any pedestrians on the promenade - marshalls will try and keep the route clear but it is a public area.
General Information
All entrants will receive a More Mile t-shirt and if it is wrong size, StartFitness have kindly offered to exchange for appropriate size free (must not be worn).
Prizes will be presented in the Sailing Club after the race for the first 3 male and female competitors.

This is a British Triathlon sanctioned event and is being held under competition rules.
