07 June 2009 - The clubs Wansbeck Triathlon today was a great success. Unfortunately the weather did not do justice to the hard work of Barry, Gary, Neil & Geoff.
Whilst the run was generally warm & dry for most competitiors there was very heavy rainfall on the bike. Results to follow shortly.

12 March 2009 - The Friday session at Fenham pool has been cancelled for the next weeks, we will update the website when it is back on, or phone 0191 2747210 to check.
09 March 2009 - Whilst Elswick Pool is closed the club is recommending that members try the Masters sessions at Fenham Pool. These sessions are as below but we recommend that you call
the pool to confirm the times - 0191 2747210. Session cost is £3.50. The Clubs swim session at Blyth is unaffected & is on Saturday at 5-30pm.
Monday 8.30 to 9.30pm
Wednesday 8.00 to 9.00pm
Friday 7.00 to 8.00pm - This session has been cancelled for the next few weeks, will update when available again.

24 January 2009 - Unfortunately Elswick Pool is due to close for 6 months from 22 February for refurbishment of the changing rooms, showers & gym.
As Friday the 20th will be the clubs last session at the pool for a while we are organising a social event after swimming that evening.
The plan is to go to Wagamamas for a meal followed by drinks, so all welcome.
The Saturday session at Blyth is continuing & we are looking into alternative local swim sessions/pool time. We hope to have information available at the AGM.
23 January 2009 - The AGM is to take place after swimming on the 11th February at Elswick Pool. Drinks & snacks will be provided so please come along.
18 January 2009 - Shaun & Emma are to take it in turns to lead B Group rides every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month.
All rides leave from Gosforth Regent Centre at 9-30am & aim to cover about 30-40 miles. Please come along.

09 December 2008 - The Clubs Christmas Party is at The Gate after swimming on Friday 12th December.
Meet at Bar Bannatyne for 19-00 then onto ASK for a meal from 20-00, after the meal there is a choice of bars.
25th January 2008 - North East Region GP for 2007 found Dave Bell with the best result, he came 2nd in male over 50 category.
WELL DONE DAVE The Sunday saw a Standard Distance Event, 12 Tyne Athletes completed that event. John Searle led Tyne home, winning the first male vet (O'40) in 02:12:09, coming second in the regional championships. He was followed by Dave Bell who won the first male super vet (O'50) in 02:17:35, qualifying for the worlds. The only female Tyne competitor was Ruth Fletcher who won first female super vet in 03:05:13. Well done to all 12 athletes, unfortunately there isn't enough space to mention you all! 10th September 2007 - There are three mens & two womens teams entered for the Druridge Bay Relays plus a good turn out for the individual race on Sunday. We also have two teams in the Cleveland Relays on the following weekend so it should be a good finish to the season. 19th August 2007 - Congratulations to Mike, Shaun & Tito for all finishing Ironman UK. This was Shaun & Tito's first Ironman - well done. 12th August 2007 - Not long to go to UK Ironman now. Good luck to Mike Little, Tito Lopes, and Shaun Brannigan. 6th August 2007 - Well done to everyone who took part in the Prince Bishops Triathlon. Especially Mike Little (3rd Overall) and Dave Bell (1st M50). 13th May 2007 - Excellent turnout for Alnwick Triathlon, eighteen Tyne triathletes completed the race with Mike Little leading home in 5th overall.
